Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
MyCheckmark("we", "us", or "our") operates the MyCheckmark web app at mycheckmark.com and the MyCheckmark iOS application available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide when you use either product.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account information: Your email address, collected when you sign in with Google or Apple.
- Habit and workout data: Habit names, categories, completion logs, workout exercises, sets, reps, and weights you enter into the app.
- Journal entries: Daily text notes you save within the monthly journal feature (Pro plan).
- Preferences: Theme selection, sound settings, reminder times, and weekly report preferences.
- Subscription data: Purchase status and entitlement information managed through Stripe (web) and RevenueCat / Apple App Store (iOS).
- Usage information: Log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically by our infrastructure provider.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the MyCheckmark service.
- To sync your data across devices and sessions.
- To send weekly habit-report emails if you opt in via Settings.
- To send a one-time onboarding email with a navigation overview when you create your account.
- To process subscription payments through Stripe or Apple App Store.
- To respond to support requests or account inquiries.
- To improve the product based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-party services
We rely on the following trusted third-party processors:
- Supabase – database and authentication hosting. Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL servers. See supabase.com/privacy.
- Stripe – payment processing for web subscriptions. Stripe stores your payment method; we never see your full card number. See stripe.com/privacy.
- RevenueCat – subscription management for iOS. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Resend – transactional email delivery for onboarding and weekly reports. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In – OAuth providers used for authentication. We receive only your email address and a unique identifier.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account — either through the in-app "Delete Account" option in Settings or by contacting us — all personally identifiable data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: All your data is visible directly inside the app.
- Export: Pro users can export habit and completion data as CSV from the Settings page.
- Deletion: Use Settings → Delete Account in the iOS app or web app to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
- Opt-out of marketing: You can disable weekly report emails at any time from Settings. The one-time onboarding email contains an unsubscribe link.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), California (CCPA), or another jurisdiction with specific data protection laws, you may have additional rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@mycheckmark.com.
7. Cookies and local storage
The web app uses browser local storage and cookies solely for session management and user preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. The iOS app uses device secure storage for session persistence and does not use tracking identifiers.
8. Children's privacy
MyCheckmark is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@mycheckmark.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
